My 11 month old pup keeps chewing branches off them.
I had 3 of these and tried moving one to save it from his destruction but it has died (I am aware that this is the wrong time to move them).
My question is if I leave the remaining 2 and he continues to chew them down will they survive if I then move them in November?
He is obsessed with them so I don’t he’s going to stop attacking them.
Also when I do move them how should I do it?
Is there any way at all I could move or protect them now?

Hi Jan,
I would make some chicken wire fences to put around them as temporary protection. Once the pup cannot get to the roses easily, hopefully he will move on. You could also spray some Liquid fence around the area and see if that will deter him. Right now is not the best time to move them but better than later when the temps get hotter. Water the rosebushes with some water that has a product called Super Thrive in it the day before the move. Then the next day move them to their new homes. Water them in with some water that has both super thrive and a root stimulator in it. Water them with a fresh batch of this mix the next 5 to 6 times the bushes need watering. After about 4 weeks give each of the rosebushes 1/3 to 1/2 cup of Kelp Meal worked lightly into the soils and water it in. They should be just fine.
