Roses

Question

My mom just passed away and in one of the flower arrangements were some white roses with approximately 6-9 inch stems. The white roses are not fully opened yet.

Is it possible to grow roses from these cut flowers? If possible, could u please tell me how??

Many roses are grafted roses, thus they are not hardy enough to grow on their own root systems. The rosebushes grown from the cuttings of many florists roses will not survive on their own root systems if they will start or take root at all. Rather I would highly recommend buying a white blooming rosebush in honor of your Mom. I did so with a red rosebush as my Mom loved red roses. Some beautiful white blooming roses would be ones named: Crystalline, Anastasia, Full Sail, Home and Family, Honor, Pope John Paul II or Moonstone which has a pink blend to her white bloom smiles. Since writing the article I have found a rooting Gel that works very well at rooting cuttings, it is called Olivia’s Cloning Gel and works better than anything else I have found for getting cuttings of any kind to take root. Best of luck to you and my deepest sympathies in the passing on of your dear Mother. I know the road on which you now walk….
