Zone BH21 7PA | Anonymous added on July 3, 2017 | Answered

Standard rose bushes (potted over the winter and healthy)were put into the garden now all the leaves are gone. All have good flower and buds but all leaf gone and bush looks tatty. Please advise on how to get leaf back or do I have to take out of garden and put back in pots.
Thank you.

The rosebushes are showing you signs of transplant shock. Water the rosebushes with water that has both a product called Super Thrive and a root stimulator in it. Water the rosebushes with a fresh batch of such water mix the next 5 to 6 times they need watering. Insects and funguses can also cause rosebushes to totally defoliate, so be on the lookout for such issues.
