rosemary in the winter

We planted 12 rosemary plants in the spring of last year and they were thriving. We live in the Poconos and they were really green up till about two weeks ago. They turned brown and lost the needles. Are they dead?? can we revive them? The weather has been cold.

Thanks
Rich

You live in growing zone 5b. Most Rosemary is hardy in zones 7-10, with a few cultivators able to survive in zone 6. If your temperatures drop below 30 degrees F, you will need to winter your Rosemary indoors.
