Rose of sharon

How do I get rid of rose os sharon droppings all through our mulch I dont want all those rooting…
And what do they mean by dead heading in spring? I am lost regarding all this but we planted them around house then mulched..now piles of little plants are there…Help

Dead heading the flowers before they go to seed can help eliminate the plant from self seeding. Dead heading means removing the spent flowers from the plant to prevent them from spreading seeds, in this case.

Hand pulling the seedlings is the other technique!
