Rose of sharon

I would like to plant a rose of sharon Bush in a location that only gets full sun until noon. Would that be ok. I love near rochester ny

Yes, that would work fine. I’ve seen others in part shade do well. Full sun may produce more blooms; on the other hand, the summers we are having are causing lots of heat stress in full-sun plants.
