Q.Rose Mosaic

Zone Madison, Ohio 44057 | jbtaylor added on June 12, 2017 | Answered

After digging the affected plant, do you shake off any soil possible or keep as much on as possible? What about soil left from around the hole–how much extra soil should be removed? Will the virus ever leave the soil or will it be there for some time?

I get rid of the soils in a 20 inch diameter by 18 inches deep and replace with good bagged garden soils and some compost. That usually gets rid of most of the little root fibers. Than plant a rosebush you love.
