Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have 2 floribunda bushes left by the previous owner. How do I prepare them for winter? They have lots of new growth on the top, none on the bottom, and have been attacked by bugs and maybe a disease this summer.

I would spray them with a good insecticide if they still have bug issues. I would also spray them about a week or two later with a good fungicide prior to winter prep. These two steps will help them come back better in the Spring. Here is a link to an article I wrote on winter care for roses for you as well: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/flowers/roses/roses-winter-care.htm [1]
After reading that article do a search for my article on mounding rosebushes as well.
