Here is a link to an article I wrote about reasons why rosebushes do not bloom. Over the years the biggest reason for rosebushes not blooming that I have found is not insect or fungus problems. It is the high nitrogen, non-organic or organic based fertilizers that are highly promoted. These fertilizers do create lush foliage growth but either limit or eliminate the blooms we love. I use Gro-Rich Rose and Perennial Food (organic based) and a local product called Mile-Hi Rose Food (Organic) for my roses these days and give them some Kelp meal a couple times per season along with Moo Poo Tea.
