rose bush

how long does it take for a rose bush to establish itself in the ground? We brought it home from the place we bought it, now it’s in “stress” and there is new growth. I say give it a month. Is this right? (this is a red rose bush )

Then I have a white rose bush out front, and I th ink my husband is watering it too much or too little? The rose petals are turning brownish on the ends . HELP.

It takes three to four years for a rosebush to get fully established and really hit its bloom stride. Within a couple months the root system should be well enough established to see new growth and buds production. The burned edges on the petal edges is usually a sign of high heat days. The rosebush just cannot get enough fluids to the outer edges of those petals to prevent some burning on real hot days, especially newly planted rosebushes with limited root zone establishment.
