Roots are too long for the glass!

My avocado has been growing in water for about 2 months now. The roots are not too long for the glass but the shoot at th top is only just over an inch tall. Should I find something longer/more suitable until it’s ready to plant or can I plant it now?!

I would remove it, and place it into soil now. They don’t, actually, need this process to germinate, and it can introduce bacteria into the seed this way. It is the most popular method, though.

From here, you can treat it like any other high light requirement indoor tree.
