Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comHi, A few weeks ago I accidentally broke off a branch on my azalea. The leaves were just beginning to sprout. I figured, what the heck, and placed the branch in a bottle of water. I checked it today and the leaves are budding into flowers, now…. But there are no roots on the branch! I don’t want to kill it, but I’d really like for it to root. What should I do?? Put it in dirt and wait and see? Or leave it in the water longer to see if it will eventually root?

You can try to root it in a potting medium. This article tells how:
