Root rot

How to get rid of the root rot in my pot plant of Gerber daisies? Can I save them? And do I need to remove the fugus from the follage?

Once root rot has began in a Gerber Daisy it is likely not able to be reduced.
Allow the soil to dry out and make sure the container is well draining.
Avoid watering down into the center of the plant.
