Robinia plant

My robina hanging baskets have now died off. Do I pull out the dead plant or cut it off so that it flowers again next year?

I am not familiar with a robina plant. The closest name I can find is Robinia, the scientific name of locust plants, but these are trees and wouldn’t grow in hanging baskets. Do you know any other name for your plant?
