Q.Reseeding An Existing Lawn

I live in Central WI. My lawn is not very pretty. It has very sparse area where the soil is more sandy to sandy loamy. What would be the best type of grass seed to reseed with this fall to help restore my lawn?

You are in zone 4, so you need a very cold tolerant grass. These articles should help but you may want to contact your local Extension agent for more information about best grasses in your area. Here is more:
