Repotting mandevilla

Question

I have a mandevilla in a hanging basket and I need to repot into a bigger pot. It has grown up around the basket chain. How is the best way to do this without upsetting the vines?

Answer 1

When the plant is done blooming you can cut it back to free it from the pot.

Pruning can help the plant.
