Q.Replanting a Grey salt bush [Atriplex Cinerea]
Is it necessary to prune down an established 3-metre diameter Grey Salt bush before tranplanting, and how far should be cut down?

I would say that pruning will not be needed, given the hardiness of the plant. It can help the transplant go over a little better, as it slows respiration of the plant.
If you decide to prune, don't take more than 1/3 of the plant off. This is the general rule.
