I have an Oak tree that has several holes at the top where the main trunk gets divided to 4 and 5 branches. How can I prevent the damage to the tree? Please advise.

Keep in mind the holes probably won't cause the tree to die, and filling them may actually cause more harm than good. This article will help you determine whether or not to fill them, and how: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/trees/tgen/patching-tree-hole.htm
