Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI bought a house with a 100 foot tall maple – a beautiful tree with a lovely ‘rough’ bark. But there is a patch of trunk with wood pecker holes and a smaller area with ant holes which has no bark.
I want to make sure no further damage results. I have sprayed for ants and they seem to be gone. Is there a reasonable way to add fungicide to kill any fungus, and then fill the holes and cover the exposed bark that will help ensure the tree stays strong?
Thanks
Tim
