Is it possible to remove dead branches from a pandanus tree? What method is best?

It is always possible, indeed advisable, to remove dead branches from any kind of plant. You should use pruners or if the branch is large, you can use a saw. Cut the dead branch as close as possible to the live growth from which it is emerging, without cutting into the live growth.
