regarding my crepe myrtle tree

My crepe myrtle tree has shiny, sticky leaves. It is in bloom, but not as many as usual. There was an ant infestation for which I sprayed. What do I do now?

If you are seeing ants, it is likely aphids. They don’t typically attack that large of a plant, but it is not unheard of. Ants care for the aphids like we would care for cows and literally “milk” them for the sweet, sticky honeydew they produce. You can treat them with neem oil, which will also take care of the ants once the aphids are gone. These articles will help:
