Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI am in Indiana. This spring when my redbud leafed out the leaves appeared to be cupped and they haven’t come out of it. They are full size but not flat like usual they are cupped. We had some freezing temps as things were coming out this spring but not sure if that has anything to do with it.

The cupping leaves can indicate an infestation of pests. Aphids or Scale are possible.
Treat the plant with Neem Oil. Neem Oil works on most sucking pests.
