Q.Red Palm Leaf

Zone 00777 | Anonymous added on July 6, 2019 | Answered

Ever since Hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico it nearly shredded my red palm leaf except for three or four limbs. The others are darted up. Is it dead? Can it be re-grown?
Thank you.

If you have fronds on the palm; it certainly is still alive.
They are slow growing, so it may take years to recover.

To prevent nutritional deficiency, apply good quality palm fertilizer that has continuous release formula twice a year during growing season.
