Red, Orange and Yellow Bell Peppers

I have planted each: red, orange, and yellow bell peppers. They are growing and the peppers are very big, but they are still green. They look like they should be picked. I am afraid they were labled wrong, or does it just take a long time for them to turn colors? I don’t want to wait on them and let them rot on the vine. Is there something that will identify them, such as turning colors from stem, out or does it just take a long time to turn colors?
