Q.Red Japanese Maple Has Curling Leaf Ends
Leaves are curling at the ends and dying off. Pruned entire tree, leaves grew back normally, but are now curling at the ends once more. . . not all branches grew new leaves after pruning.

It sounds like eitehr a watering issue or a fungus. Increase water to the tree and treat the tree with a fungicide. You may also want to check the roots to see if they are healthy. If the roots have been damaged, this could affect the tree's ability to take up water, which would make it look as though it were under watered.
