Red Bugs in Christmas Cactus

I just planted a small Christmas cactus. While watering the plant today, I noticed teeny tiny red/brown bugs moving in the soil. At first I thought they were red spider mites, but they aren’t making webs in the plant. They just seem to be in the soil. I’m pretty sure they’re only out at night as well. They don’t seem to be outside of the plant pot or on any of the leaves, just in the soil. What are these bugs, and what can I do about them?

They could still be mites, of which there are many different types.
