Q.Twisted Hibiscus w/beautiful yellow flowers

Zone 4/5 | olivia2 added on May 22, 2012 | Answered

I received a Twisted Hibiscus w/beautiful yellow flowers but in less than two weeks, something I cannot see is eating the leaves, while other leaves are turning yellow and dry. Pot is on north side of house, good sun part of day, filtered rest. Suggestions?

If something is eating the foliage of your hibiscus, I like neem oil as an insecticide. It is safe for people, pets and beneficial bugs but very effective on harmful pests. Here is more information: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/pests/pesticides/neem-oil-uses.htm

As for the leaf yellowing and drying, there are several reasons for yellowing leaves on hibiscus, including pests. This article should help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/flowers/hibiscus/answers-to-what-causes-hibiscus-leaves-turning-yellow.htm
