Q.Raspberries and Blueberries

Anonymous added on February 28, 2014 | Answered

We want to plant some raspberries, black raspberries and blueberries. How many of each should we plant? We have a 6 foot wide section of yard that is 120 ft long. It is raised from the yard and grass grows there along with some dandelions, daffodils, and iris. Does this sound like a good place to plant berries?

If the area gets more than 5 hours of sun a day, that it sounds like a good place to grow berries. It is hard to say how many you should plant because it depends on how much you need to harvest and the varieties you are planting. Blueberries should be spaced about 6 feet apart, raspberries and blackberries should be 2 - 3 feet apart.
