Raised Garden Beds

Question

I built raised beds and added about 6″ of crushed stone on the bottom for drainage. Rather than just filling them with topsoil, what should I mix in the topsoil? I don’t have a compost bin yet.

If you don't have compost, you can add some well rotted manure to the soil. You can also purchase bags of compost if necessary until you can get a heap of your own started.
