Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comEvery year I look forward to planting my radishes in the hopes that I will get some. Not so; every year I get lots of green but no radish. They don’t swell. I keep them watered and free of weeds, etc. Thin them and even go out and talk to them. No luck. Mixed the soil with rotted manure and some peat moss (regular soil is heavy clay) and still nothing. Why?

This is normally caused by too much nitrogen in the soil and not enough phosphorus. You may not be able to salvage this batch, but in the future, add bone meal to the soil when planting root vegetables.
