Q.Radishes- part identification

Zone Rockville, Maryland -zone 7a-I think | Anonymous added on May 12, 2019 | Answered

Hi,
Can you identify from the attached photo what I’m seeing erupting beside my radish green parts, are these the radishes or something else? What is that little waterdrop-that I see? Sorry to be so dunce, I am a complete novice and I started an herb and vegetable container garden in my tiny courtyard. The radishes I planted from seed are a White Icicle-RĂ¡bano. I have looked all over google and youtube and can’t find an answer. I don’t know if I should be happy or terrified of these little eruptions.
Thank you for your assistance

Those are mushrooms! They will not, usually, harm the plants, as they only consume decaying, and dead matter. It is unclear what type that they are, as they are still very young, so please have caution around pets or children.

You may remove them, or you can leave them. They do serve a beneficial function to the soil, and I usually leave them to do so. Otherwise, everything looks healthy, and looks like they are happy where they are.
