Radish Bolting?

Im a very new gardener, I have some (2) Russian Black Radish growing in a tub, they have shot up relly quite tall probably 18 inces, is this how they should be or do i need to do someting?

They are probably going to flower and seed. This is caused by heat and longer days. The only way to offset this is to plant earlier in the year so that you can get a harvest before bolting, unfortunately.
