Q.Question About Kangaroo Apple

Zone Westlock Ab T7P2P4 | jracette added on September 21, 2024 | Answered

I have two kangaroo apple plants, wondering if you take the seed pods and will ripen off the plant? Because I live in a part of the world where we do get frost. Thank you Cathy

I would definitely only take fruits that fall from the plant, naturally. They are toxic until they do, and the seeds will not be ripe. whether it is chilly weather or natural drop, I'd wait to take them.
