Can I transplant a pygmy palm into a pot? I live in Phoenix.

Yes, if it is small enough to handle, you can transplant it into a pot. First, water the palm to ensure the roots will stay healthy during transplantation. Then, dig up the root ball, trying to get as much of the roots as possible. Here is more about how to transplant palms:
