Q.Purple Passion – In Water Or In Dirt?

Zone 59840, Hamilton, MT | coryoyl@yahoo.com added on July 29, 2020 | Answered

I have started a few of my purple passion from cutting off an old dying plant. They are doing good in the clear glass jars, with roots and growing. But not so much the leaves. So my question is: Should I leave them in the glass jars or plant them in Miracle Grow? Or; can I just put the jars in a hanging pot planter and keep the jars wet? Will they grow from the leaves or the darkened roots? Please answer asap, as I have been overgrown with all plants, that I do this with.

I would transfer them to potting soil. They will be easier to take care of. In water, it's easy to forget to keep the water level up and bacteria builds up quickly.
