Purple Sprouting Broccoli

My purple sprouting broccoli has purple heads on it but the under shoots aren’t growing. What should I do?

The side shoots really grow after you cut the main heads off

To produce the side shoots, you need to cut the main central spear of your broccoli. Removing the central head stimulates the side shoots to develop. As these side shoots grow (4-6″ long), you should pick them regularly, which can go on for 6 weeks. Note: if they flower, shoot production will stop.
