Q.Pumpkins that are ready in august, will they still be good for the fall and is there something I could do to help them

As long as they're stored right, your pumpkins should make it to fall with no problem. (Even if they're not stored perfectly, they should make it. I've been known to keep fall pumpkins in my house until well into the spring...) This article will tell you more about how to do it right:
