Pumpkins

Question

If I throw some old pumpkins out in the woods, will they grow to a nice food plot for the deer? OR am I better off just planting some?

You'd probably be better off just planting some, as throwing them out like that would only result in them being eaten, seeds and all. Though a few seeds may likely find their way into the ground, it really wouldn't be enough for a 'garden plot.'
