It is best to avoid moving the vines too much, as they root along the vine to increase nutrient uptake for such a large fruit. disturbing these will delay or even halt the pumpkins production. Here is a link that will further help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/vegetables/pumpkin/ [1]
