Pruning Apricot Trees

When and how should I prune mature apricot trees? I want to keep the size of the tree manageable in order to harvest the fruit.

Apricots normally do best with a light pruning after they have bloomed. Annual pruning of the tree will help with maintaining the tree’s height. When you prune for shape, take off what you want for the height as well and then continue this each year to keep it at the height you require.
