Q.Pruning/cutting a pine tree

Zone Zone 7A | ANGELIQUE added on December 18, 2016 | Answered

You say to only prune a pine in the spring, but what if I am making a winter wreath? I can’t very well cut branches in the spring for a Christmas wreath. So what do you suggest?

You can cut enough branches to make your wreath in the winter. That will be fine and won't damage the tree. For large-scale pruning where you will remove a larger proportion of the tree's branches, it's best to wait till spring.
