Pruning Yuccas

I have lots of side shoots on my Yucca. Each time I pull them off, they grow back. Today I cut them off. Should I put anything on the cuts to stop further growth. They are becoming a problem.

Yucca is very difficult to eradicate. However, if you wish to get rid of the plant, cut it down as close to the ground as possible and then paint the fresh cut with concentrated Round-Up. Keep an eye on it and if you see any shoots, you’ll have to repeat this process.
