Q.Pruning Tomato Plants?

Zone Ottawa, Ontario | dpblaker added on June 1, 2024 | Answered

I only know one tomato farmer (Prince Edward County Ontario) and I have never known him to prune any of the tomato plants in his acreage. Can’t imagine any sane farmer doing so. Perhaps this should be added to your comments on tomato pruning.

Pruning tomato plants is completely up to each individual. It hasn't shown to hurt or help, but if diseased portions are not pruned off, in the case of disease, then it could riun an entire crop. Here is an article actually explains this exact principle.
