Q.Pruning Hydrangea Bushes -fall Cleanup
I just pruned my hydrangea bushes back within 8-10 inches of the ground, then realized I had made a grave error. What are the chances that they will make a come back in the spring. I am in NE Kansas. I hope you have good news for me as they were gorgeous this year! Thank you, Linda Hill

It is very hard to say without knowing the specific type of Hydrangea that you have. It isn't likely to kill it, though. Best case scenario, it comes back just fine and flowers as usual. Worst... It fails to flower for a year or two.
