Pruning Holly

My holly bushes have gotten quite leggy. Not sure what variety type they are, but when there are berries, they are red. Best time to prune is in winter, but is it too late, early spring, to do it now?

You can prune now, but if you do, you will likely not get berries this year. It doesn’t hurt the plant, but as most people like to get the berries, they avoid pruning at this time.
