Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have a fig tree about 5 feet tall with only 2 branches on it, with small branches growing off the 2 branches. It’s a tree and not a bush. Can I cut the tree down to about 1 foot tall to produce a bush instead of a tree with 2 branches? It’s an evergreen fig tree and has been in our yard for about 2 summers.
Thanks, Chris

You should prune the Fig Tree in the winter when it is dormant.
Here is a link with pruning information.
