Pruning/ Care Of PRUNUS BRILLIANT

Question

We have inherited a PRUNUS BRILLIANT cherry tree in a pot we are not sure what to do with it. We know its over 10 years and I think it’s been pruned a bit “Willy nilly” over the years. We do have some flowers come each year but it looks so unsightly could you give me some advice pleas. Thank you.
