Q.Pruning Butterfly Bushes

Anonymous added on July 27, 2011 | Answered

Your site did provide information on pruning butterfly bushes, but did not answer one question: If I prune now, in the summer, will it continue to bloom or should I wait until fall or spring? I live in middle Tennessee.

You can prune now, but it will take it several weeks to start blooming again. If you are enjoying the blooms now, it might be best to wait until fall when the blooming slows down so that you don't miss the show.
