pruning apricot trees

I have 2 apricot trees. 1 I planted 7 yrs ago and I never pruned the tree. The second I planted 7 months ago. How should I prune the trees?

There are specific ways to prune the tree to ensure that it heals quickly, and properly. Pruning in winter or early spring is the best time, but this also depends on maturity of the tree.
