Pruning an older jade plant

I have an older Jade plant. I repotted it this summer but one of the branches is large and hanging down (they are shaped like a y). I think it needs to be cut back, but I am sad about removing an old piece of the plant and I want all parts to thrive. Do you think that if I remove it, I will be able to successfully “re-start” the branch? I don’t want to lose any part of the plant.

Yes, you can prune your Jade plant to make it a more healthy plant. These parts of the plant that you prune can be propagated.
